Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist with ARDMS certification and 2+ years of experience to perform a wide range of diagnostic and interventional ultrasound procedures.
Details
- Hospital-based Ultrasound department
- Evening shift, 5x8s, 40 hours per week, 1300-2130hrs
- Mandatory call required
- Performs general, small parts, 1st/2nd/3rd trimester OB, fetal anatomy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and venous studies
- Assists with interventional procedures including biopsies, aspirations, localizations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis under radiologist or APP direction
- Utilizes PACS, RIS, and current EMR systems
Requirements
- ARDMS certification required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Competency in abdomen, renal, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular studies
- Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and EMR documentation
- Knowledge of proper patient positioning, ergonomic scanning techniques, and infection control protocols
Additional Information
- Responsible for performing accurate ultrasound examinations in accordance with professional and facility protocols
- Maintains cleanliness and infection control standards for ultrasound equipment
- Handles proper labeling and documentation of lab specimens
- Works closely with radiologists and APPs during interventional procedures
