Description

American Traveler is seeking an ER RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and a valid LA or compact RN license.

Details

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Epic charting system required
• Charge experience preferred

Requirements

• Active LA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skills required: IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, starting and maintaining IVs, medication administration, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Experience with neurological cases including CVA required
• Experience with shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds, head injury, and near drowning preferred
• Cardiac monitoring experience including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage required
• Ortho trauma experience preferred
• At least two recent manager references required

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a combined adult and pediatric patient population, including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and orthopedic cases
• Responsible for triage and emergency response including management of dysrhythmias
• Teal scrubs required
• First time travelers accepted
• Locals within 75 miles accepted at local rate
• Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel positions
