Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) for a night shift assignment requiring ventilator experience and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS or NRP certifications.

Details

• 13-week assignment on the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekday shifts with some weekend and holiday coverage on a rotating basis
• Sole respiratory therapist on duty during weekend shifts
• Uses ventilators
• Cerner charting system used

Requirements

• CRT or RRT required, RRT preferred
• 2 years of experience preferred, minimum 1 year with ventilator and some pediatric experience will be considered
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS or NRP certifications required and must be active prior to start
• PFT experience preferred but not required
• License required if applicable
• Travel experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform respiratory therapy duties within a hospital setting
• Hunter green scrubs required
• Facility considers medical exemptions for flu vaccine with a signed doctor's note and completed exemption form; religious exemptions not accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility, with those between 75-100 miles considered case-by-case at the same rate
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last date of employment before returning as a traveler
• Current employees of the health system are not eligible for travel contracts within the system
