Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for an evening shift position at a Level II Trauma center requiring general OR, robotics, and MD compact RN licensure.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a Level II Trauma center
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• 1:1 patient ratio
• General OR cases including trauma, uro, podiatry, ortho, plastics, neuro, gyn, endo, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardio, and bariatric surgeries
• DaVinci robotics experience required
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours (14:45-23:15)
• Epic EMR required
• Weekend work required on a rotational basis, inclusive of on-call shifts
• On-call required 5-6 times per 4-week period, including one weekend call
• Weekday/weeknight on-call runs from end of shift until 6:30 AM the following day
• Weekend on-call is a 24-hour shift
• Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes of being called in
• Floating required within specialty and to sister Laurel campus as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• 3 years of OR experience required, though 2 years with strong experience may be considered
• Strong general OR and robotics experience required
• Skilled in both scrubbing and circulating

• Perform scrub and circulating duties across a wide range of surgical specialties
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• First-time travelers accepted if they have strong general OR and robotics experience
