Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a hospital assignment requiring CA RN licensure and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• ICU setting within a hospital network
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• May be required to float to like units or lower acuity units across the organization's 5 hospitals, excluding the ED
• Requires working 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week cycle
• At least one holiday, including the holiday weekend, must be worked

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required, with no exceptions
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of total travel nursing experience required (except LVNs)
• At least 6 months of continuous travel experience immediately preceding consideration, with no significant gaps
• 1.5 years of continuous experience in the ICU specialty required, without breaks in specialty unless floating
• Epic or combined Epic/Cerner EMR experience within the last 6 months required
• Copies of required AHA certifications must be current, with no pending certifications accepted
• One supervisory-level professional reference required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a high-acuity ICU environment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Returning travelers and former permanent staff may be considered after a 1-year break
• Maximum RTO of 7 days, with no additional requests after submission
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible, except LVNs/LPNs
• Candidates on assignment in San Diego for 9+ months or more are considered local and are not eligible
