Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 5+ years of experience and ARRT (MR) certification for a 13-week acute care assignment.

Details

• Acute care Level 2 trauma facility
• MRI department with 1 room
• Adult and pediatric patient population
• Uses Philips Ingenia 1.5 MRI scanner, Med Rad Spectris Solaris Injector, Omnicell, EPIC, and FUJI PACS
• Weekend schedule: Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, Monday 9:30 AM to 10:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• May work independently at times without direct supervision
• No floating to other departments required

Requirements

• 5+ years of MRI experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification
• Certified MRI Technologist - ARRT (MR)
• License required if applicable
• Ability to perform MRI procedures independently applying appropriate scanning techniques for diagnosis
• Experience screening patients and objects for magnet room safety

Additional Information

• Performs MRI procedures according to radiologist-established protocols and assumes responsibility for designated area and procedures
• Prepares and screens patients and objects entering the magnet room for magnet safety
• Black scrubs required
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 required, with medical or religious exemption forms available upon request
• Local candidates not accepted; radius rule requires driver's license address to be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Previous perm employees must have a 2-year break before returning as travelers
• Previous travelers who worked a full year must take a 2-year break before returning
• Cumulative experience across WVU system applies toward the 1-year traveler limit before requiring a break
• Candidates may only apply to one position within the WVU system at a time
• Interviews are conducted directly with the unit manager
