Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 2-5 years of experience including breast imaging for an acute care hospital setting.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in the Ultrasound department
- Covers breast imaging, general ultrasound, and limited procedures including thyroid and lymph node biopsies, drain placements, and OBGYN
- Works across Briner and General DI Ultrasound locations in Truckee
- Patient volume of 8-10 patients per day
- Provides emergency ultrasound coverage in collaboration with the ER
- Works alongside a team of 7 radiologists
- Day shift schedule of 4x10s, block shift, 7:30am-6pm
- Swing shift available from 1:30pm-midnight Monday-Friday
- Rotating weekends (Saturday/Sunday 6pm-7am) and rotating call
- Call requirement of 1-2 nights per week from midnight-6am
- Uses EPIC EMR
- Uses Sequoia, Phillips, and Canon ultrasound equipment
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience required, with 2-5 years of ultrasound experience including breast imaging preferred
- ARDMS certification required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- Experience in acute care hospital sonography across obstetrics, gynecology, abdominal, small parts, and guidance procedures
- Advanced knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathophysiology
- Technical proficiency with sophisticated ultrasound equipment including duplex doppler, color flow, 2D, 3D, and 4D imaging and post-processing
- License required if applicable
