Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 18 months of L&D experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Meditech charting system
• Required to float to other departments and facilities, including Perry Hospital, on a department-based rotation

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required in hand
• Minimum of 18 months of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Required certifications upon start: BLS (AHA), NRP, and Fetal Monitoring
• ACLS certification preferred
• IV insertion skills required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care including fetal monitoring and IV insertion
• Interview process includes a Nurse Manager interview
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as locals are not accepted for this position
• Former Emory or Houston permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 5 days if not falling on or near a holiday, or 3 days if falling on or near a holiday, with only one holiday request allowed
• Candidates may only be submitted to one position at a time
