Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift float pool position requiring a compact RN license and prior travel experience.
Details
- Med/Surg Tele unit as part of a float pool covering Medsurg units
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Uses Omnicell medication system and Cerner documentation system
- Utilizes SBAR communication system
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30, with 36-hour shifts available
- Every other weekend coverage required
- 8-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active RN license (Compact or CT State)
- Current BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, and peripheral line care/management
- PICC line management experience
- Skilled at starting and maintaining IVs
- Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
- Experience with nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
- Any charting system experience accepted
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg Tele float pool setting
- Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local
- First-time travelers are not being considered for this role
