Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a day shift travel assignment requiring strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular surgical experience.

Details

• Operating Room unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Possible on-call requirement
• Weekend rotation of 1 in 3
• Rotating holiday coverage

Requirements

• Active NYS RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the Operating Room specialty
• Strong experience in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgical cases required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Minimum of one reference within the past year from a supervisor or manager (charge nurse references not accepted)

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of complex surgical specialties
• Flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted (personal or religious declinations not accepted)
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week contract may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• RTO must be requested at the time of consideration
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility are not eligible, including those in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties
