Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of recent OR experience and strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular skills.

Details

• Operating Room setting on day shift, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Weekend rotation of 1 in 3
• Rotating holiday coverage
• Possible on-call requirement
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• 2 years of recent experience in the Operating Room specialty required
• Strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional accepted for flu vaccination; personal or religious declinations not accepted

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and/or scrub RN duties across a range of surgical specialties including cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular cases
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are not eligible if located in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
• No blocked scheduling permitted
