Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with a NC or compact license and minimum 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment featuring EOW day shifts.
Details
- Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
- Primarily Med/Surg patient population on a tele-capable unit
- Patient population includes observation, respiratory, general medical-surgical, palliative/end-of-life/hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetes management, and surgical/surgical observation patients
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- 3x12 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required, with holidays as needed
- Floating required across any Cone Health campus as needed
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
- BLS certification required
- ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- LTAC experience preferred
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (two attempts allowed)
- Skills in respiratory care, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, wound care, and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred
- Current driver's license required to verify address
Additional Information
- Provide care across a range of diagnoses including diabetes, respiratory conditions, surgical recovery, and palliative/hospice needs
- Responsible for interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and utilizing rapid response/code teams as needed
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Travel experience is a plus but not required
- RTO must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO accepted
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
- Third-party education verification required, with degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list not accepted
- No open background check cases permitted
