Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology RN for a pediatric hospital assignment requiring a TN or compact RN license and prior travel experience.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center pediatric hospital
- Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 5x8 hours (7:30 AM-4:00 PM)
- On-call responsibilities required, typically one weekend per month
- Weekend shifts required as needed
- Floating may occur between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius
Requirements
- Active TN RN license or compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines required (no pending licensure accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience required; 3+ years preferred
- At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required, no first-time travelers accepted unless 3+ years of recent experience
- BSN required for this pediatric hospital position
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Vaccination status must be disclosed for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care within the Interventional Radiology unit for pediatric patients
- Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1
- Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Former travelers who completed a full year assignment must wait 1 full year before returning
- Local candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront and will not be approved if added after an offer is made
