Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring an active NV RN license and prior travel experience.
Details
- Med/Surg Tele unit (Sierra 1) within a Level II Trauma Center hospital
- Cares for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
- 3x12 day shift schedule with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
- No on-call requirements
- May require picking up one additional shift during the schedule period
- Floating required to the needs of the organization up to competency level
- Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active NV RN license required prior to start
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
- Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring telemetry rhythm strips
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Tele experience required
- Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment required within the past year
- Epic EMR training available during orientation or candidates may test out
Additional Information
- Provide individualized nursing care across the full episode of patient care
- Coordinate care with other professionals and involve family/caregivers in assessment and planning as appropriate
- Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be considered
- Facility does not accept local candidates
- A 13-week break is required after ending a prior contract at this facility before returning
- Minimum of 2 major holidays coverage required
- RTO must be submitted with the initial application and will not be added at the end of the contract
- No blocked scheduling allowed
- Facility may cancel shifts (full or partial) without penalty with 48 hours notice for low census
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position due to the required prior travel experience
