Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for Cardiac Interventional Radiology, requiring 18 months of specialty experience and ARRT certification.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within a teaching hospital setting
• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab work environment
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call requirements apply
• May float within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within a 20-mile radius (Martin North, South, and Tradition hospitals)
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Procedures include cardiac implant closure device, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of recent experience in the specialty required, 2 years preferred, preferably within the last 3 years
• Additional Cath/EP experience preferred as candidates may be floated
• ARRT (R) and BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCI RCIS certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• No pending licenses or certifications accepted
• Active AHA certifications required at time of consideration
• One professional reference required from a direct supervisor, ANM, or director in the applicable specialty
• Skilled in equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, room circulating, and scrub procedures
• Experience with infection control, isolation precautions, PPE, and sterile technique
• Age-specific competency for middle adult and older adult populations
• Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and interpret dysrhythmias

• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• Scrub color is Ceil Blue
• EKG and Pharm competency tests required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each and no remediation for retesting
• Travelers expected to work every other holiday
• All RTO must be discussed during interview and included at time of consideration
• Permanent and per diem staff cannot return to Cleveland Clinic for 1 year from their previous end date
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required, with medical or religious exemptions only
• Strict no call-in policy in effect
