Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical ICU position requiring 18 months of MICU experience and EPIC charting experience.
Details
- MICU unit within a short-term acute care teaching hospital
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
- 13-week assignment
- Float required to all 3 hospital campuses (Martin North, South, Tradition) within 20 miles as needed
- EPIC EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
- BLS and ACLS certification required at time of consideration (AHA or Red Cross)
- NIHSS certification required prior to start
- Minimum 18 months of recent MICU experience required, 2 years preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Skills required include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, arterial and central line management, IV therapy, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator patient care, ABG interpretation, and ETT/NT suctioning
- One professional reference required from a direct supervisor, manager, ANM, or director in the applicable specialty
- Negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine (cotinine) test required due to smoke-free facility policy
Additional Information
- Care for critically ill medical ICU patients including those with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Time-sensitive EPIC training modules must be completed promptly once confirmed for the assignment
- EKG and pharmacology tests required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each; no remediation offered
- Scrub color required: white
- Smoke-free facility requiring nicotine-free status for all clinicians
- Strict no call-in policy
- Expected to work every other holiday
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, medical or religious exemptions only
- All RTO must be submitted and approved prior to assignment start; requests added later are unlikely to be approved
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Previous permanent or per diem employees cannot return to Cleveland Clinic for 1 year from their last end date
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
