Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 2+ years of echocardiography experience for a 13-week acute care assignment.
Details
- Acute care setting in an Echocardiography unit with float requirements to outpatient clinics
- Pediatric and neonatal patient population
- Full-time schedule, 40 hours per week, 10-hour day shifts
- Weekend and on-call coverage required
- Uses Epic EMR
- Equipment includes GE E95 and S60 ultrasound systems
- Common diagnoses include aortic stenosis, HCM, mitral regurgitation, tricuspid regurgitation, aortic regurgitation, amyloidosis, mitral stenosis, valve repair/replacement, HFpEF, HFrEF, shortness of breath, and AFib
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC) and ARDMS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Proficient in scanning valve pathology using TEE, TTE, stress echo, and dobutamine stress test
- Neonatal echo and structural heart experience highly preferred
- Experience in acute care hospital setting
Additional Information
- Perform comprehensive echocardiographic studies including TEE, TTE, and stress echo procedures on complex cardiac pathology cases
- Hospital-provided scrubs for inpatient work; candidates must provide own scrubs for outpatient clinic assignments
- Cancellation policy allows for 1 shift per 2-week period
