Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring CT/CVICU experience at a Level 1 trauma center.

Details

  • Work in the CTICU (cardiothoracic intensive care unit) of a Level 1 trauma hospital
  • Unit provides 24-hour monitoring and advanced care for patients recovering from complex heart, lung, and vascular surgeries or severe cardiac/respiratory conditions
  • 12-hour rotating shifts covering both days and nights
  • 36 hours per week over a 26-week assignment
  • Uses EPIC EMR system
  • No float or charge nurse responsibilities required

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required in hand
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of RN experience with at least 2 years in CT/CVICU setting
  • Level 1 trauma center experience required
  • EPIC EMR experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Must provide flu vaccination documentation during flu season

Additional Information

  • Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill cardiothoracic surgical and cardiac/respiratory patients
  • Any color scrubs permitted
  • Weekly orientation provided
  • COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
  • Must pass Tele/ECG and Medication competency testing
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
  • Previous employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break from any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility before returning
  • First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
