Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring BLS, ACLS, and an active RN license in Louisiana or compact state.
Details
- Acute Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- Cares for patients with MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and some med-surg overflow
- Manages cardiac drips (excluding nitrate administration)
- Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Uses EPIC EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license in Louisiana or compact required
- BLS certification from AHA required
- ACLS certification from AHA required
- BSN preferred
- 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administers medications and treatments and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Provides patient and family education based on identified learning needs
- Ceil blue scrubs required as part of dress code
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility for local pay eligibility
- Returning employees or travelers who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have a 6-month separation period before starting a new travel assignment
- Temp-to-perm opportunity possible
