Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital with 24-hour emergency care, full medical and surgical services, and an attached 71-bed skilled extended care facility
• Level IV trauma facility with 25 total staffed beds
• Both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend shifts required
• No on-call requirements
• Clinician may be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Uses Cerner for hospital charting and PCC for long-term care documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• BLS certification required
• Active state license required; compact license accepted
• License required if applicable
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Experience with orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, geriatric, wound care, and neurologic patient populations preferred
• Familiarity with modalities such as e-stim, ultrasound, traction, and hydrotherapy preferred
• Experience with adaptive and assistive devices, gait training, and body mechanics assessment preferred
• Documentation experience including evaluations, care plans, and reassessments preferred

• No time off allowed within the first two weeks due to orientation; additional time off should be limited to one week
