Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Operating Room/Surgery night shift position requiring NM or compact RN licensure and prior OR experience.
Details
- Hospital Surgery/General Surgical unit setting
- Night shift, 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM, 4 days x 10 hours
- 13-week assignment
- Weekend requirement of 1-2 24-hour weekend call shifts
- On-call requirement of 1-2 call nights per week with charge duties as needed
- Floating to other departments required as needed
- EPIC EMR used
- Hospital scrubs provided
Requirements
- Current New Mexico RN license or compact state RN license required
- BLS certification from AHA required
- ACLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Additional Information
- Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the surgical patient population
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Perform various point of care testing procedures
- Participate in patient/family education and discharge planning
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Previous CHRISTUS Health employees must have a 6-month separation before starting a new travel assignment
