Description

American Traveler is hiring a night-shift Med/Surg RN with current MA licensure, Med/Surg and telemetry experience, and willingness to float to any Med/Surg unit.

Details

• Med/Surg unit setting with 20 to 34 beds depending on unit
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working 36 or 48 hours on a guaranteed time basis
• Every other weekend required, plus holidays if needed
• No on-call requirements
• Required to float to any Med/Surg unit
• Block scheduling not available

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required in hand at time of profile upload
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA) required in hand at time of profile upload
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Skills checklist for Medical Surgical experience, current within 1 year, required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit with a diverse patient population
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted
• Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• All requested time off must be submitted and verified at the time of profile upload; requests made after submission or during interview will not be approved
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Permanent address must be included in profile
• At least two specific interview availability dates/times must be provided
