Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 3 years of ER experience and Level II Trauma Center exposure.

Details

• General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric patients
• Level II Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke certification
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift rotation (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 18:00-6:00) on a 36/48 alternating schedule
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• CPI, ENPC, and MAB certifications preferred
• 3 years of ER experience preferred; candidates with less experience and prior travel experience will be considered
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Skilled in emergency care for pediatric, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, and trauma cases
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring
• Proficient in triage and isolation precautions/PPE
• Skilled in orthopedic splinting and ortho trauma care

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including cardiac, neurological, respiratory, psychiatric, and trauma cases
• Perform triage, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
• Administer emergency medications and manage procedural sedation
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius; local candidates not accepted
• Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with no exceptions for positive results
• First-time travelers will not be accepted for this role
