Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU RN for a night shift travel contract requiring at least one year of pediatric CICU experience and a Missouri/Kansas or compact RN license.
Details
- Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) setting within a Magnet, teaching, Level I Trauma children's hospital
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM), 36 hours per week
- 13-week assignment
- 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio
- May float to the cardiac med-surg floor to assist with patients
- May float between this facility and its sister hospital in Overland Park, KS
- Uses Cerner charting system
Requirements
- Active Missouri or compact RN license, and a Kansas RN license (or documented proof of application pending for Kansas)
- BLS and PALS certification (AHA only, RQI not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric CICU/CVPICU experience required, clearly reflected in work history
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a traveler required
- Critical care nursing background required
- Must pass a medication/dosage test with 100% accuracy within 3 attempts during first week
Additional Information
- Care for critically ill pediatric cardiovascular patients in a high-acuity ICU environment
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- Scrubs must be a kid-friendly color or pattern; RRTs may wear any color; SPT scrubs provided
- Facility is a smoke-free and nicotine-free campus with nicotine testing required
- Free parking available with permit
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
