Description
American Traveler is seeking a PACU RN for a Post Surgical unit requiring PALS certification and floating within surgical services.
Details
- Post Surgical PACU unit in a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule of 4, 10-hour rotating shifts (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
- Full time contract for 13 weeks
- Weekend requirement of 2 weekends per month (12-hour shifts, Sat/Sun counts as 1 weekend)
- On-call requirement of one night per week
- Floating required within surgical services
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active NM RN license or compact license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications via AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Additional Information
- Coordinates and implements patient care specific to age of population served in PACU
- Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, develops individualized care plans, and evaluates outcomes
- Participates in patient and family education and discharge planning
- Performs point of care testing procedures
- Graphite gray scrubs required
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Candidates who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have a 6-month separation period before being considered for a travel assignment
