Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 3+ years of experience and current California CRT license for a cardiac interventional radiology cath lab with structural heart capabilities.

Details

• Interventional cardiac cath lab with structural heart program
• 3 procedure rooms with an average daily census of 15
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Call required, 3 call shifts within a 2-week period
• Weekend call required approximately every 6 weeks
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of cath lab experience required
• California CRT license required in hand at time of consideration
• ACLS, ARRT(R), BLS, and Fluoroscopy Permit required
• RCIS certification preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in procedures including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, right and left heart catheterization, temporary and permanent pacemaker insertion
• Experience with TAVR and Watchman procedures preferred
• Skilled in venous access, central line care and maintenance, and vascular closure systems
• Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and provide accurate hemodynamic monitoring
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, room circulating, and maintaining sterile fields during procedures
• Scrubs provided
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Candidates must be able to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the health system
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at applicable bill rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
