Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 12-hour day shift assignment requiring telemetry experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg unit ranging from 20 to 34 beds depending on unit
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on a 48-hour guaranteed schedule
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage required if scheduled
• Must be willing to float to any Med/Surg unit
• No on-call requirements
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required in hand
• NIHSS certification required in hand
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Skills checklist for Medical Surgical experience, current within 1 year, required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
• Must have own vehicle for the assignment

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring needs
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered for this assignment
• No more than 5 days of RTO accepted, and all time-off requests must be submitted at the time of profile submission
• Must work two of the following holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and following weekend
• Block scheduling requests will not be accommodated
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation included
