Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Level 2 NICU position requiring STABLE and NRP certification.

Details

• Level 2 NICU (Nursery) setting within a hospital
• May float to mother/baby unit as needed
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment, full time

Requirements

• Active RN license in Texas or compact required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
• Current NRP certification required
• Current STABLE certification required (Participant, Lead Instructor, or Support Instructor)
• 1 year of experience in NICU or related nursing specialty preferred
• BSN preferred
• Perinatal RN Residency or recent perinatal setting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administers medications and treatments and monitors for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Completes all annual competency verification requirements
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local candidate consideration
• Returning employees or travelers who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have a 6-month separation period across the entire health system before being eligible for a new travel assignment
