Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 2 NICU travel position requiring STABLE and NRP certifications on night shift.

Details

• Level 2 NICU setting within the Nursery department
• May float to mother/baby unit as needed
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time, 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or compact
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
• Current NRP certification required
• Current STABLE certification required (Participant, Lead Instructor, or Support Instructor)
• 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Perinatal RN Residency or recent Perinatal setting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients and families
• New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with completion of organizational and perinatal-specific competency validations
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Returning employees who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must be separated for 6 months prior to starting a new travel assignment
