Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years of critical care experience across ICU, ER, and nursery settings.

Details

• Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy department with approximately 159 beds
• Covers adult critical care, NICU, PICU, ER, nursery (level 1), and Med/Surg floors
• Patient population ranges from newborn to adult, including high-risk deliveries and pediatric intubation cases
• Uses Drager V500, V60 BiPAP, Hamilton T-1 transport ventilators, AirVo high-flow oxygen units, Neopuff, and Ram cannula
• EPIC EMR system used for documentation
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• RT floats to all areas of the hospital as needed, including a 25-mile float policy between facilities
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Experience in adult ICU, ER (including pediatric intubation and mechanical ventilation), nursery, and Med/Surg required
• NICU and PICU experience preferred
• Experience with high-risk c-section deliveries and neonatal resuscitation team participation required
• Proficiency with Drager V500, Hamilton T-1, and Neopuff equipment required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required

Additional Information

• Serve as part of the neonatal resuscitation team and attend high-risk deliveries
• Provide respiratory care to patients ranging from newborns to adults across multiple hospital units
• Demonstrate strong assessment skills and comfort treating critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients
• Team player with strong communication skills and a positive, respectful attitude expected
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Candidates who worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this at time of consideration
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• First-time travelers may be considered
