Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years of critical care experience across ICU, ER, nursery, and med-surg settings.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy department covering ICU, ER, Level 1 Nursery, and Med Surg floors
• Approximately 159-bed facility
• Patients range from newborns to adults, including high-risk deliveries and pediatric intubation/ventilation cases
• Uses Drager V500 ventilators, V60 BiPAP, Hamilton T-1 transport ventilator, Airvo highflow oxygen units, Neopuff, and Ram cannula
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 weekly hours including weekend hours
• RT floats to all areas of the hospital within a 25-mile float policy between facilities
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active RRT certification (license required if applicable)
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Experience in adult ICU, ER pediatric intubation/mechanical ventilation, nursery resuscitation team, and high-risk c-section attendance required
• NICU and PICU experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Strong assessment skills and experience with listed respiratory equipment required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Serve as part of the resuscitation team for high-risk deliveries and attend high-risk c-sections
• Provide respiratory care to a patient population ranging from newborns to adults
• Team player with strong communication skills, respectful demeanor, and positive attitude
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are eligible but not for renewals or extensions
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this information
