Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years of ICU, ER, and nursery experience.

Details

• Hospital-based respiratory therapy department covering ICU, ER, Level 1 Nursery, and Med Surg floors
• Treats patients ranging from newborns to adults, including pediatric intubation and mechanical ventilation cases in the ER
• Participates in resuscitation team for high-risk c-sections in the nursery setting
• Approximately 159-bed facility
• Uses Drager V500 and Hamilton T-1 ventilators, V60 BiPAP, Airvo high-flow oxygen units, Neopuff, and Ram cannula
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours including weekend hours
• Floats to all areas of the hospital as needed, including a 25-mile float policy between facilities
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active RRT license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Experience in adult ICU, ER pediatric intubation/ventilation, and Level 1 Nursery resuscitation required
• NICU and PICU experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Strong assessment skills and experience with ventilator equipment listed above required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

• Treat a diverse patient population ranging from newborns to critically ill adults
• Team player with strong communication skills, respectful demeanor, and positive attitude
• Any scrub color accepted
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility considered local and not eligible for renewals or extensions
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
• First-time travelers may be considered
