Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room to circulate cardiac and transplant cases at a busy academic medical center, requiring a WA or compact RN license and strong OR experience.

Details

• Operating Room department in an academic teaching hospital setting
• Sole circulator for cardiac and transplant cases
• High-acuity patient population including orthopedic sports, minimally invasive arthroscopic and laparoscopic cases, robotics, general, GYN, urology, and plastics cases
• Experience with neuro, spine, thoracic, and vascular cases is a plus
• 28 operating rooms with average daily census of 50-75
• Night shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 2100-0730
• No call requirements
• May require floating within the hospital and to other specialties during low census periods
• May include charge nurse duties
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3-4 years of OR RN experience required
• Strong experience circulating cardiac and transplant cases required
• Experience across multiple service lines such as cardiac and robotics preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Circulate all surgical cases within the OR, with focus on cardiac and transplant procedures
• Work within a high-acuity, academic teaching hospital environment
• Scrubs provided for OR personnel in any color
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• RTO limited to a maximum of 1 week and cannot be requested during the first 2 weeks of assignment
• First-time travelers with 3+ years of experience will be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
• Prior UW Medical Center staff must have 18 months of separation before returning as a travel candidate
