Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring 2 years of pediatric ICU experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) of a children's hospital
• Care for pediatric patients with congenital heart disease, post cardiac surgery, and post cardiac catheterization needs
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Floating required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and medical-surgical units as needed

Requirements

• Active OH State or Compact RN license in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a pediatric hospital setting required
• Experience with ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, and pediatric dosage calculations
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
• Preferred experience with ECMO, VAD (LVAD/RVAD), CRRT, and post cardiac surgery care
• 2 supervisory references required at time of consideration, with at least one from a manager or supervisor (charge references not accepted)

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients in a cardiovascular ICU setting
• Candidates must not have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• Floating to other units is a standard expectation for most assignments in this facility
