Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role requiring ER experience and OH or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Emergency Department setting, including ER Holding area
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• ER Holding, MS/Tele, Tele, or PCU/Stepdown experience also acceptable
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and line management preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen administration, and airway management preferred
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management experience preferred
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor, and the second from a charge RN; no coworker references accepted

• Provide emergency care to a wide range of patient populations including pediatric, adult, and geriatric cases
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignments after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this facility
• Requested time off must be submitted with the contract and limited to 7 days or less
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
