Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and Oklahoma RCP licensure to support a Level II Trauma facility with ECMO and lung transplant services.

Details

  • Respiratory Care/RRT unit with night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 6:30 PM-7:00 AM)
  • ER/Level II Trauma Services patient population
  • Specialized procedures include bedside bronchoscopy, percutaneous/cricothyrotomy trachs, ECMO, Nitric Oxide therapy, Veletri administration, and lung transplant care
  • Patient ratio of 1:20
  • Uses Epic charting system (preferred experience)
  • Adult critical care setting including ARDS, COVID, cystic fibrosis, and fresh tracheostomy care
  • Ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, SIMV, and high frequency oscillator/jet ventilation
  • Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
  • No on-call requirements
  • No block scheduling accommodations

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • RRT and RCP certification through Oklahoma Medical Board of Licensure & Supervision required (license required if applicable)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Teaching hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • ER candidates must have NIHSS and ESI certifications, or be willing to obtain
  • Skilled in ABG interpretation and arterial blood gas draws
  • Experience with airway management including intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care/management
  • Experience with chest physiotherapy and pulmonary hygiene
  • Current driver's license or state-issued ID and utility bill with matching address required for consideration
  • Two supervisory references required
  • Copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide respiratory care to critically ill adult patients including ventilator management and airway care
  • Support advanced procedures such as ECMO, bronchoscopy, and lung transplant patients
  • Work within a Level II Trauma Center environment
  • Black scrub color required
  • Maximum RTO of 5 days per 13-week assignment with no holidays or blackout dates
  • Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility to be eligible
  • Local candidates within 75 miles are not eligible for this position
  • Former INTEGRIS employees must have a minimum 1-year separation from the facility to be eligible
  • First-time travelers are accepted
