Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring NY licensure and phlebotomy/IV competency.

Details

• Work in the Endoscopy unit of a hospital setting
• Procedural-based patient population including pancreatic, lung, colon, and gastric CA, polyps, Barrett's esophagus, and CBD stones/strictures/CA
• Performs specialized procedures including EUS, ERCP, Navigational Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Manometry, and Fibroscan
• Uses specialized equipment including ERBE, Olympus scopes/processors, Super-D, Bravo, VCE, and Manometry
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Varying days off based on department needs with no guarantee of the same day off weekly
• On-call requirements for weeknights, weekends, and holidays approximately 4-6 shifts per month
• Floating required to PreAn/PACU as needed
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Mandatory competency with phlebotomy and IV placement required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care during GI/Endoscopy procedures
• Navy/white scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted only if residing more than 75 miles from the facility
