Description

American Traveler is hiring a night-shift ICU RN for a float pool role requiring VA or compact RN license and Epic experience.

Details

  • SRO Float Pool position floating across various ICU and intermediate care units, including Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1), Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, Special Pathogens Critical Care/Intermediate Unit (COVID), Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit, Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit, and Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit
  • May also float to ED Boarders (patients admitted but awaiting room assignment)
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00)
  • Can offer 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • Floating required in accordance with facility float policy

Requirements

  • Active VA or compact RN license required (VA license pending accepted at submission)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care across multiple ICU and intermediate care specialties as part of a float pool team
  • Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays, including Thanksgiving, Black Friday, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved, though no RTO can be approved during the first two weeks of the assignment
  • Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this role
