Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring 2+ years of recent PICU/CVPICU experience and willingness to float within scope.
Details
- Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position within a Magnet-designated, Level I trauma teaching hospital
- Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2, with 1:3 ratios possible when floating to NICU
- Day shift (3x12, 7:00-19:30) or night shift (3x12, 19:00-7:30) schedules available
- Every other weekend required, with openness to blocked weekend scheduling
- Floating required between NICU, PICU, and CVPICU within scope
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Cerner for charting
Requirements
- Active RN license (DC) required, pending license accepted
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- 2+ years of recent PICU or CVPICU experience required
- Strong PICU background required with comfort floating to CVPICU and NICU
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing support across NICU, PICU, and CVPICU as needed
- Scrubs may be any color but must be child-friendly and logo-free
- Maximum RTO of 7 days; if a full consecutive week is taken, an additional week must be added to the end of the contract
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
