Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring NC or compact licensure and 2+ years of ED experience.

Details

• 34-bed Emergency Department treating patients from neonates to geriatrics
• Averages about 100 ED visits per day
• Includes triage area and telemetry monitoring, with some conscious sedation cases performed
• On-site ED provider coverage (MD/PA)
• Uses Epic EMR and Pyxis medication system
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• No call requirements
• No block scheduling
• Floating required to units of like or lesser acuity

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Charge nurse experience preferred but not required

• Provide direct patient care across a wide range of ED acuities and age groups
• 24-hour orientation provided
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible as a local traveler
• RTO must be submitted upfront to be honored at time of offer
