Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring Epic experience and chronic ventilator management skills.

Details

• PCU setting on a 13- or 18-week night shift contract (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Patient ratios targeted at 1:4, with potential to increase to 1:5-6
• 36 or 48-hour weekly options available
• Uses Epic EMR
• Must be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• May float between Main Campus (Dayton), South Campus (Centerville), and North Campus (Englewood)
• First to float at facility's discretion, potentially into medically appropriate specialty clusters

Requirements

• Active RN license (OH or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• IV Start certification preferred
• Minimum 1.5 years RN experience required, with Level 1 or 2 trauma center experience preferred
• Experience with stable chronic ventilator patients required
• Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to starting assignment
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to PCU patients including telemetry and ventilator management
• Will be fitted for N95 respirator prior to working on HRRU unit unless PAPR is provided
• RTO must be requested at time of initial submittal; no additional RTO will be approved after offer
• Current Nursys report required at time of submission
• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract due to low census
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted for this position
