Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring Epic experience and chronic ventilator management skills.
Details
- PCU setting on a 13- or 18-week night shift contract (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
- Patient ratios targeted at 1:4, with potential to increase to 1:5-6
- 36 or 48-hour weekly options available
- Uses Epic EMR
- Must be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- May float between Main Campus (Dayton), South Campus (Centerville), and North Campus (Englewood)
- First to float at facility's discretion, potentially into medically appropriate specialty clusters
Requirements
- Active RN license (OH or Compact) required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- IV Start certification preferred
- Minimum 1.5 years RN experience required, with Level 1 or 2 trauma center experience preferred
- Experience with stable chronic ventilator patients required
- Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to starting assignment
- Epic EMR experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to PCU patients including telemetry and ventilator management
- Will be fitted for N95 respirator prior to working on HRRU unit unless PAPR is provided
- RTO must be requested at time of initial submittal; no additional RTO will be approved after offer
- Current Nursys report required at time of submission
- Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract due to low census
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted for this position
