Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Float Pool ICU position requiring critical care experience across multiple specialty units and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Float pool position covering various ICU and intermediate care units including Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1), Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, Special Pathogens Unit (COVID), Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit, Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit, and Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit
• May also float to ED Boarders (patients admitted but awaiting room assignment)
• Night shift, 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• Can offer 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Must adhere to facility's float policy

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays, including Thanksgiving, Black Friday, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Up to 40 hours of RTO can be approved per contract, though none can be approved during the first 2 weeks of assignment
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler
• No radius rule applies to this position
