Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring AL or compact RN licensure and Level II Trauma experience preferred.

Details

• Med/Surg unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Float required with possible occasional charge duties
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• 30-minute lunch break required with no skipped meals

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification via AHA required
• Fit test required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Experience with IV starts, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac required
• Skilled in blood product administration, peripheral line care, and PICC line management preferred
• Experience with colostomy/ileostomy management and feeding tube care preferred
• Experience administering heparin, insulin, and PCA preferred
• Experience with surgical drains, nasal cannula, and oxygen administration preferred
• Any charting system experience required; Paragon experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
• Must reside within a 60-mile radius or be considered a local candidate
• Requested time off (RTO) limited to a maximum of 7 days
• Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel position
