Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Mother Baby/Nursery night shift position requiring OB experience and AWHONN certification.

Details

• Work on a Maternity Care Center unit with 9 LDR beds, 8 PP/GYN beds, 2 OR suites, and a 23-bed wellborn nursery
• Night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratios of 3 couplets per nurse; L&D ratio is 1:1 for active labor, Pitocin, or epidural patients
• Uses Corometrics fetal monitoring equipment
• Charts in Centricity Perinatal and Meditech EMR systems
• Weekend requirement of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule, with Saturday/Sunday days and Friday/Saturday nights
• No on-call requirement, though extra shift opportunities may be available
• Floating limited to within the unit only

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
• OB experience required
• Cesarean section experience as circulator, first assist, or scrub preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide care in Labor & Delivery, cesarean sections, and post-partum & newborn care
• Support OBED triage, inductions, and midwife-attended deliveries
• Team includes couplet nurses, birth response nurses, L&D nurses, scrub techs, and clinical coordinators
• Best fit for energetic and self-directed candidates
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
