Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel position requiring a VA or compact RN license and 2 years of experience.

Details

• Work on a 36-bed Med/Surg unit within the main hospital building
• Unit staffed with clinical coordinators, RNs, techs, and unit secretaries across day and night shifts
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Care for post-operative patients requiring dressing changes, wound care, and drain management
• Uses Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs
• Documentation completed in Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with post-operative patient care preferred
• Competency in dressing changes, wound care, and drain management preferred
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including wound care and drain maintenance for post-operative patients
• Facility recognized for top patient experience scores as measured by HCAHPS
• Ideal candidates are team players with a positive attitude and strong patient advocacy skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment required
• Dress code requires navy blue or white scrubs; hoodies, pull-overs, and t-shirts are not permitted
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
