Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with a VA or compact license for a 13-week travel assignment on a busy 36-bed unit.

Details

• Work on a 36-bed Med/Surg unit within the main hospital building
• Day shift staffing includes a clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, 3 techs, and a unit secretary; night shift includes a clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, and 2 techs
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs
• Charts in Meditech EMR
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• 1 year of recent Med/Surg specialty experience required
• Experience with post-operative patient care preferred
• Competency in dressing changes, wound care, and drain management preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required

• Dress code requires navy blue or white scrubs; hoodies, pullovers, and T-shirts are not permitted
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
