Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehab unit position requiring VA or compact license and prior rehab experience.

Details

• Inpatient rehab unit with 35 beds and patient ratios of 5-7:1
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every other weekend
• May be floated to other Med Surg departments
• Uses Meditech documentation system
• Unit equipped with vitals machines, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, and bladder scanners

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Rehab experience required, Med Surg experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform medication administration including IVs, PICC, and PEG tube care
• Provide bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, foley catheter care, bladder irrigation, and blood administration
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Nursing, PT, OT, Speech Therapy, Physiatrist, PA, and Neuropsychologist to support patient functional goals
• Navy blue or white solid scrubs required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
