Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital, requiring 1+ years of experience and a Texas OT license.

Details

  • Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 40 beds
  • Adult and geriatric inpatient rehab patient population
  • Common diagnoses include CVA, TBI, NTBI, SCI, NTSCI, BKA, AKA, GBS, THR, and TKA
  • Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • One weekend shift per month (Saturday or Sunday) with a weekday off in that week
  • No call requirements
  • No floating requirements
  • Cerner EHR used

Requirements

  • Texas OT license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience required (no new grads)
  • Inpatient rehab facility (IRF) experience preferred
  • Experience in neuro, ortho, general medicine, amputation, or poly trauma preferred
  • College degree in occupational therapy required
  • Social security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide individualized rehabilitation care for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
  • Work within a comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation program
  • Navy scrub color required
  • Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility
  • Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
