Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital, requiring 1+ years of experience and a Texas OT license.
Details
- Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 40 beds
- Adult and geriatric inpatient rehab patient population
- Common diagnoses include CVA, TBI, NTBI, SCI, NTSCI, BKA, AKA, GBS, THR, and TKA
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- One weekend shift per month (Saturday or Sunday) with a weekday off in that week
- No call requirements
- No floating requirements
- Cerner EHR used
Requirements
- Texas OT license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1+ years of experience required (no new grads)
- Inpatient rehab facility (IRF) experience preferred
- Experience in neuro, ortho, general medicine, amputation, or poly trauma preferred
- College degree in occupational therapy required
- Social security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide individualized rehabilitation care for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
- Work within a comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation program
- Navy scrub color required
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
