Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with strong L&D skills including baby catching and fetal monitoring for a 12-hour night shift assignment.

Details

• Work in a Birth Center unit with 20 total beds: 12 L&D, 8 PP/AP (3 OB/ED rooms, 2 OR), plus a 6-bed Level II NICU
• 12-hour night shift schedule at 36 hours per week
• No call requirements
• Circulate C-sections and provide antepartum, labor, and post-partum care
• Scrub Tech available onsite, though scrub-trained RNs may occasionally be used for sick calls

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
• Comfort with cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, and Pitocin administration required
• Baby catching/receiving skills required
• Knowledge of APGAR scoring and breastfeeding support required
• Some exposure to post-partum care required, with strong comfort in all aspects of PP care from transition to discharge preferred
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
• Scrub experience considered a bonus

• Teal scrubs are provided
• Multilingual skills, particularly Russian or Spanish, are preferred due to patient population
• Nurse Practitioner available on call for support
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
