Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery role requiring strong L&D skills and WA or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Work in the Birth Center unit of a hospital environment
  • 20-bed unit: 12 L&D, 8 PP/AP (including 3 OB/ED rooms and 2 ORs), and a 6-bed Level II NICU
  • 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
  • No call requirements
  • Epic EMR strongly preferred
  • NP available on-call for support

Requirements

  • Active WA or compact RN license required
  • Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
  • Comfortable with or has some exposure to post-partum care
  • Skilled in cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, and Pitocin administration
  • Able to circulate C-sections and perform baby catching/receiving
  • Knowledge of APGAR scoring and breastfeeding support
  • Scrub experience is a plus, though not required

Additional Information

  • Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor, delivery, and post-partum phases for mother and baby
  • Strong preference for comfort with all aspects of post-partum care from transition to discharge
  • Occasional support for sick calls in scrub role for RNs with scrub training
  • Multilingual skills, particularly Russian or Spanish, are preferred due to patient population
  • Teal scrubs are provided
