Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology RN with neuro experience for a day-shift hospital assignment requiring Trauma Level II experience.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call requirements include 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month
- No specific charting system experience required, though Epic experience is preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license, Montana state or compact license accepted
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in specialty
- 1 year of ICU experience preferred
- Neuro experience required
- Trauma Level II hospital experience required, Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in procedures such as sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems, angioplasty, stent graft placement, and central venous access/port placement
- Experience with neurological procedures including carotid and cerebral angiography preferred
- Experience monitoring procedural sedation and managing dysrhythmias
- Experience with IV therapy including starting and maintaining IVs
- References required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care during interventional radiology procedures including vascular, neurological, pulmonary, and genitourinary studies
- Administer and monitor medications including antihypertensives, thrombolytics, and emergency medications
- Work as part of a collaborative team delivering high-quality patient care
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible, as local candidates are not accepted
- Background check history considered on a case-by-case basis
- Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before eligibility
- Availability start date and RTO must be confirmed at time of consideration
