Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with ARRT (VI) certification to support vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and neuro-endovascular procedures.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit supporting vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and neuro-endovascular procedures
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Assists with diagnostic angiography, minimally invasive guidewire and catheter-based procedures, and percutaneous biopsies
- Functions as scrub, monitor, and fluoroscopy technologist in single- and biplane environments
- Works in OR 28, interventional radiology, and neuro-interventional suites
- Monday-Friday schedule, either 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
- Neuro lab call coverage approximately one week every four weeks with 2-4 additional backup call days per month
- Total call commitment of approximately 9-11 days per month
- Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes of call notification
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA-recognized radiologic technology program, or RCIS credentialed through Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- ARRT (VI) certification required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Experience with vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and neuro-endovascular cases required
- Experience working in large healthcare facilities required
- Previous travel experience required, though highly experienced candidates may be considered case-by-case
- Active Alabama RN license required if applicable
Additional Information
- Provide technical assistance with sheath insertion, groin sealant, and stabilization during procedures
- Follow all radiation safety policies and procedures for patients, coworkers, and self
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary procedural team
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Candidates must reside at least 90 miles from the facility and local candidates will not be accepted
- Former permanent staff are not eligible for travel roles for 10 years following separation
- Travelers who complete 2 consecutive contracts must take a 6-month break before returning, with exceptions considered case-by-case
- Pre-start modules are required prior to starting the assignment
